Job Description
Design, implement, and maintain embedded platform and application software.
Responsibilities
Develop real-time embedded software for Ciena’s flagship products.
Create drivers for proprietary and third-party hardware components.
Implement fault and alarm subsystems for defect management.
Utilize SDKs for platform application development and integration.
Qualifications
Enrolled in a computer or electrical engineering degree program.
Experience with C or C++ programming languages.
Understanding of real-time operating systems and embedded systems.
Familiarity with software development tools like git and Jira.
Preferred
Experience developing software for embedded systems or telecom products.
Knowledge of datacom and telecom concepts such as TCP/IP and Ethernet.
Compensation
$25 to $32/hour
