Software Engineering Intern for Optical Networks R&D organization
Responsibilities
Develop software tools to assist in the design of Optical Networks.
Optimize systems to maximize data transmission capacity over specified distances.
Contribute to the development of next generation optical transmission equipment.
Collaborate with team members to enhance tool functionality and performance.
Qualifications
Enrolled in a Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics program.
Strong Python programming skills required for software development.
Strong SQL skills for database management and queries.
Understanding of Data Modelling concepts like Star and Snowflake Schema.
Preferred
Completion of a Communication Theory course.
Familiarity with Containerization concepts for software deployment.
Compensation
$25 to $34/hour
